This starter package includes:

• Inspection of the Existing HVAC Equipment

• Thorough inspection of the entire home for potential energy and sustainability concerns.

• Duct Leakage Testing 

• Blower Door Testing

Results are provided in a report comparing results from an “average” home. This introductory package will provide a prospective buyer or seller with vital information as to whether or not the home’s HVAC is sound and what expectations or roadblocks they may encounter with market forces.

This mid-tier package includes Economy package measures. In addition, Home Energy Solutions performs Manual J Load Calculations which will inform prospective homeowners how the home may perform and the health of the HVAC equipment. 

This process involves taking measurements of the building as well as quantifying the properties of the home’s windows and doors (if building plans are unavailable). We also include an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the home’s insulation and a comparison of the existing insulation to highlight retrofit opportunities and the real-world effects of such an investment. 

We also evaluate the home’s windows and doors in the context of ROI for replacement, and evaluate all combustion appliances and perform Carbon Monoxide Monitoring where applicable.

The premium tier package includes previous tier package services, and on-site airflow measuring on a room-by-room basis* for all supply and return vents in all conditioned rooms of the home. 

Those measured values will be compared to the Manual J and Manual D Duct Design. The systems will be evaluated for their functionality as installed. Our evaluations will provide valuable information on the actual performance of systems within the actual space, and findings are presented in values that demonstrate how well systems are performing and if they’re doing so efficiently. 

All ductwork will be inspected and evaluated for continuity. Having this Load Calculation performed will save the client money in the long run - both in being able to point out issues upfront that may be negotiated during the sale of the home, but also if HVAC equipment will need to be replaced in the future.
